Deuter Aircontact System
- Stabiliser straps allow precise backpack positioning. Thanks to a special buckle, the position of the shoulder strap stabiliser straps can be easily moved.
- In this body contact system, the back pads are made of special breathable, hollow-chamber foam material: through a pumping effect, every movement causes air exchange. The result: 15% less sweating compared to a conventional backpack. The anatomical hip fins consist of multiple layers. To allow optimal carrying comfort, the inner part is made of soft foam covered with 3D AirMesh. The robust foam material of the outer layer shapes the anatomical form and transfers the load to the hips. Side compression straps on the stabilisers adjust weight shifting and increase stability.

Aircontact models are equipped with the Vari Flex system, in which the elaborately constructed hip fins are flexibly attached. This allows the Vari Flex hip fins to follow complex movements without any problem. Difficult sections of a route can therefore be overcome without losing balance – which is especially important when carrying a heavier load.
